I’m a sociologist and a full professor at the University of Montreal, where I hold the Canada Research Chair in Social Inequalities and Life Course.
My research focuses on changes in youth and the life course, in an international comparative perspective. In particular, I am exploring two emotions that I believe are central to understanding the dynamics underway: social anger (individual and collective), and loneliness.
My aim is to gain a better understanding of the emerging challenges facing the younger generation, and to identify levers for action.
